Velmi spokojený,
Jako vždy…
With slightly thicker strings on both ends of the guitar—the high E (.0105) and B (.014) strings, as well as the low E (.048) and A (.038) strings—Curt Mangan’s 10.5–48 Nickel Wound Set (10105) is the best gauge for a Stratocaster!
It compensates for the inherent imbalance of vintage staggered Strat pickups, whose taller pole pieces tend to emphasize more the G and D strings over the others. The result is a much more balanced frequency response, with fuller, stronger highs and lows.
Moreover, their nickel-wound strings are simply the best!
I really like this type of string, especially because I play in E-flat and the response of the strings is good.
I play a Taylor American Dream AD27e Flametop and was looking for an alternative to the D'Addario Nickel Bronze 12-53 strings Taylor recommends for this model. I love the sound, but I don’t like the packaging of the D’Addario. I chose the Curt Mangan Monel 12-53 because I wanted to keep the same gauge while preserving the sound and character of the guitar. They turned out to be a great match. Warm, direct and open, without sounding harsh. They let the wood and character of the Taylor come through. For me, they're perfect. I liked them so much I've already ordered two more sets.
I've tried many brands and these really have my preference, in fact now, i only use Curt Mangans on all my guitars, acoustics and electrics
I love your strings, they've got a little something different that i can't explain but that i certainly like
I 've tried many flatwound strings, for the jazz for me, this set is the best one.
On the eternal search for the best string for me I came across the Curt Mangan Matt Schofield sets - that was the one and I've been using them for a long time now and they are still my favourites - even though they are very hard to get hold of here in the UK I rate them enough to make the effort to get them.
Strings are, as usual, simply fantastic and they came to mu address with a speed of light, considering I don't live within the EU.
Thank You, guys!!
Fantastic strings, great steel, disvovered them in Boston late last year, so now, that I know they are available for purchase in Nederlands it makes me real happy. Thank You so much, I am VERY satisfied.
I am a lover of the old vintage gibson electric guitars. So this is the tone which I look for. I tried all the most recommended guitar strings manufacturers and especially the pure nickel round wounded strings. At last I tried the Curt Mangan strings and I recognise immediately that these were the perfect solution for me. Just after the first trial, I ordered a good reserve !!
I’ve been running Curt Mangan strings on both my Marceau Custom Strat and ESP Eclipse, and they completely blew me away. The tonal response is outstanding — crystal-clear highs, tight low end, and a beautifully open midrange that really lets each pickup’s character shine through. The feel is spot-on: firm enough for articulate rhythm work but still pliant for expressive bends.
They also hold tuning incredibly well, even under heavy picking or aggressive vibrato. What I love most is the dynamic punch — every note feels alive, with a natural “snap” that makes palm-muted riffs and sustained leads equally satisfying.
Curt Mangan managed to blend vintage warmth with modern precision. These are easily among the best strings I’ve played in 40+ years of chasing tone.
I will be playing CM for a long while further :-)

I changed string gauge because I wanted to do something for my sore fingers yet still have the quality and the durability of the old Curt Mangan strings I was using before which were .10.38.
Of course, now mine is match made in heaven because, not only I can play better and my sore fingers disappeared, but the strings work much better with my pick and it even seems to me that I am faster on the fretboard.
So as I said, fantastic brand and I am truly a fan!
