from 9 reviewsI changed string gauge because I wanted to do something for my sore fingers yet still have the quality and the durability of the old Curt Mangan strings I was using before which were .10.38.
Of course, now mine is match made in heaven because, not only I can play better and my sore fingers disappeared, but the strings work much better with my pick and it even seems to me that I am faster on the fretboard.
So as I said, fantastic brand and I am truly a fan!

I use Curt Mangan's nickel wound strings since quite a few years, and not only because they are the best sounding nickel strings on the market, but also because I can compose and customize my gauge, which means that I can balance as I want the overall frequencies of the guitar, as well as the feel under my hands, as precisely and effective as I can. I experimented a lot before finding my best choices for my gauge. As far as I know, only C Mangan lets you do that.

Very Pleased with the strings and the kind service. I look forward to being able to purchase ALL CM strings in the UK just for the extra speed, cheaper tax and postal costs. Also sometimes pro players need strings urgently. Best wishes

I am 63 and I could say that CM are the best strings I've ever used and I tried them all.

Curt Mangan strings are not only the best as far as nickel wound strings, but they also provide customers with a plethora of different gauges and custom strings dimensions, so that each player can experiment and choose his personal gauge composition. And they sound better than any other brand I have used before.

I bought the 10-38 set, which resembles the vibrate set from three sixties used by those cool guys back in the day - most prominently Mr James Marshall Hendrix. I put’ em on a vintage style white Strat and went directly a (reasonably) clean Marshall: the sound is vintage style warm, yet still superbly articulate in the high frequencies while round core adds not only to the feel but also to the mid frequencies - I never got that close to “little wing” and “castles made of sand”. When adding fuzz and wah three articulation of the strings remain at their best in the described terms. Compared to pure nickel strings of mass producers, Curt Mangan strings are in my personal view definitely superior.
